Care and repairs
We recommend that you take care of your JAPAMALA in the following ways:
Swimming, bathing, sleeping or working out with your JAPAMALA should be completely avoided. Water, especially, will cause the thread of your suitcase to break, as it is made of 100% pure silk.
Precious metals and porous gemstones should not be treated with ammonia, chlorine or other harsh chemical solvents found in cleaning products, perfumes and lotions.
Polish the case beads / crystals only with a 100% cotton cloth or a special jewellery cleaning cloth.
Keep your jewellery stored in the bag we provide to prevent oxidation and tarnishing.
Handmade suitcase beads are unique, precious, sacred and fragile. Use them with utmost care. As they are natural gemstones, you can see a difference in colour and thickness.
Regardless of how well our JAPAMALAS are built, we understand that things happen. If your JAPAMALA breaks within 60 days of placing the order, we will replace it at no additional cost to you. Note that natural variations in gemstones are not considered a manufacturing fault.
* You must contact us within 60 days of receiving your bag if you wish to have it restricted for free. Your suitcase must be sent back in a protected / blister package - not a standard letter envelope - to avoid further breakage. Please include all granules / components in your package, along with your order number, for fast and efficient processing. Allow up to two weeks for your repair. Once your JAPAMALA is repaired, we will ship it back to you free of charge.
Damage beyond 60 days is usually caused by external forces and is not a reflection of the MAHALO STONE's ability. Please note that MAHALO STONE recommends avoiding swimming, bathing, sleeping or working out with JAPAMALA. Water, especially, will cause the thread of your suitcase to break, as it is made of 100% pure silk.
Please don't let children pull your JAPAMALA. If your item breaks when being pulled, caught in something or any other physical damage, this is not a reflection of the MAHALO STONE.
Another reason your JAPAMALA breaks which is most likely to happen is the cleaning it is doing.
As it is a sacred weight and has been assembled with mantras and prayers, to protect you and clear accumulated energies, it is normal for your JAPAMALA to break, so that these energies are purified.
Don't forget, your JAPAMALA is your best friend.
If this happens, thank you for cleaning and get in touch with us.
In a period of 60 days, we will redo it with love and care and send it back to you.
If, in case, an exchange of GEMS needs to be done and the replacement, only the additional value of these GEMS will be charged.
